Burn Clinic

The Burn Clinic is a 6 week series of classes and workshops designed to teach basic welding and metal sculpting techniques. This hands-on course located at Hadar Metal Design Studios in Soho, begins with oxy-cetaline gas welding and blacksmithing techniques then moves into sculptural grinding, shaping and finishing. Each week, class will feature expert demonstrations, hands on instruction, and practice time. Also included are weekend instructive workshops, where students can hone skills and work on individual projects in an open shop environment.

Camp Image Node

In 2000 a group of highly trained but poorly prepared monkeys met in the desert.

In 2001 these monkeys regrouped to try to get it right.

From 16mm projectors to multichannel video, Camp Image Node has always been a place about audiovisual experimentation, video art, and the occasional dance party.

Cartoonists With Attitude

Cartoonists With Attitude is a group of ground-breaking social commentary and political cartoonists, many of whom appear in N.B.M. Publishing's fine Attitude series of books edited by fellow C.W.A.er Ted Rall. C.W.A. was founded over drinks in a very cramped bar booth in Manhattan following the June 2006 Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art Festival.

Charles Schulz

Charles Schulz was an American cartoonist best known worldwide for his Peanuts comic strip.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on November 26, 1922, Charles M. Schulz was the only child of Dena and Carl Schulz. From birth, comics played an important role in Schulz’s life. At just two days old, an uncle nicknamed him “Sparky” after the horse Spark Plug from the Barney Google comic strip, and throughout his youth he and his father shared a Sunday morning ritual reading the funnies.

Chez Bushwick

Chez Bushwick, an artist-run organization based in Brooklyn, is dedicated to the advancement of interdisciplinary art and performance, with a strong focus on new choreography. Since its inception in 2002, the organization has been acknowledged as a new model for economic sustainability in the performing arts, offering New York City's only $5 subsidy for rehearsal space, and thereby fostering the creation, development, and performance of new work.

Children’s Museum

A pioneer in education, Brooklyn Children's Museum was the first museum created expressly for children when it was founded in 1899. Its success has sparked the creation of 300 children's museums around the world. With award-winning, hands-on exhibits and innovative use of its collections, the Museum engages children from pre-school to high school in learning adventures. It is the only children's museum in New York City, and one of few in the country, to be accredited by the American Association of Museums.

Chris O'Donnell

Chris O'Donnell is an American tattoo artist who began his professional career as an apprentice at USA Tattoo in Richmond, Virgina.  He was the co-owner of Richmond's Alive Gallery and is now based out of New York Adorned in the East Village.  O'Donnell has worked alongside such tattoo legends as Ed Harry, Chris Trevino, Eddie Deutsche and Mark Mahoney.

Christian Sanctuary of Hope

Their story in their words:

The Sanctuary of Hope was destroyed by an electrical fire. The corner store church was left a rotten husk without heat, plumbing, or electricity. We moved in one year after the fire. We kept the sign in the front and decided to remake the church in our likeness.

Cinders Gallery

Cinders Gallery is an artist space, gallery and events space in Williamsburg. In addition to art shows, Cinders has played host to live music events, readings, slide shows, and performances. There is a store section that features drawings, paintings, prints, t-shirts, artist books, zines, and other handmade items. Cinders currently represents a slew of artists that include Kelie Bowman, Allyson Mellberg, Maya Hayuk and offers art prints by  a number of diverse artists that include Brian Chippendale, Matt Leines, Seth Scriver and many more.
