Big Nick's

Big Nick’s has been a neighborhood mainstay for hungry Upper West Siders since 1962. Owner Jimmy Galanopoulos certainly knows how to keep his customers full and happy. Even though the restaurant has always been known for its large portions and reasonable prices, it’s the food itself that truly stands out. By using only freshest ingredients and no preservatives, Big Nick’s serves some of the best pizzas, burgers and Greek specialties in New York.

Corner Bistro

Corner Bistro, the last of the bohemian bars in West Greenwich Village, has been serving customers since the earlier part of this century. The original ambience is pretty much unchanged, and we like to keep it that way.

Dram Shop

Every good burger has a history and The Dram Shop burger is no exception. It has stood the test of time, having first been served over 60 years ago at the Mallow Grocery in Dallas, Texas. Now the good people of Park Slope can partake of this delicious mess. Don't even bother with a menu. Just ask for the burger. Two square paddies with cheese is the standard here, but you can ask for a single or add a third. I have sworn to eliminate the words "hold the..." from my vocabulary and to just take things as they are intended to be- pickles and all.

Five Guys

Five Guys was founded in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell and their four sons (with Jerry and the sons being the original "Five Guys"). Jerry and Janie had a fifth son two years after opening their first restaurant; all five sons, the current "Five Guys", are now involved in the business. The first location, which no longer exists, was in the Westmont Shopping Center at the corner of South Glebe Road and Columbia Pike. Buns were baked by Brenner's Bakery of Arlington Inc., which was owned and operated by William "Randy" Christian and Gino E.

Hamburgao

"My younger brother, Brandon, had been visiting for a week and it was time to bring him to the airport for his flight home. But not wanting him to fly to L.A. on an empty stomach, I took him to one of my favorite ethnic hamburger places, Hamburgão in Newark.

When Heartland Brewery opened as New York's first American style brewpub on Union Square in 1995, our city was not the hotbed of brewpubs, beer bars and evolved beer drinking experience it is today. Heartland was one of the pioneers to ignite New Yorker's passion for craft beers. Since then, Heartland has consistently brewed New York's freshest craft beers, including Heartland's classic six as well as a wide range of unique seasonal brews.

Hildebrandts

At the end of a stressful week, Hildebrandt's will make you feel good from the moment you walk in the door. If it's lunch you're there for, you might enjoy one of our homemade soups, savory and refreshing salmon salad, roast chicken or chicken au poivre which features two grilled and peppered boneless breasts in a creamy cracked pepper and brandy sauce. Dinner might include lasagna, pecan chicken with a honey mustard and pecan sauce, or just a simple hamburger and fries which is delivered fresh everyday from the butcher.

"Burger purists have a historical cast of mind. They’re always walking around with a patriotic and antiquarian bent thinking about old-time, classic hamburgers, like the kind that was eaten by Wimpy and Jughead. Burger purists aren’t really fit to live in this world. There’s a kind of poetic idealism to them and a sense of innocence that was lost by the American Adam."

Paul's "Da Burger Joint"

Paul's "Da Burger Joint" was established in 1989 by its namesake Paul. Originally called "Paul's Palace".

It was a family operation run by Paul and his immediate family. To this day, it is run by the same people in the same manner. We can be described as a 50's eatery with counter service, checkered table cloths and vintage decorations. Many people have described us as "their home away from home" because of the friendly cozy environment created by our hospitality and style. Regulars enjoy sitting at the counter, talking with the cooks that they know by name, while eating their big juicy burger and sipping their cold beer.
