Arena Studios is one of the freaky little gems you come across in New York City. That is - if you're into S&M, Fetish, Kinky happenings and provocative art.

For the past sixteen years Arena has been involved in the transformation of the New York City fetish scene while their events, most notably the world famous Black & Blue Ball, has kept them at the forefront of the scene world-wide.

Bike Kill

Bike Kill is annual Tall and Mutant Bike event organized and hosted by members of the Black Label Bike Club. The event is held in Brooklyn at the end of October and features bike jousting, debouchery and destruction.  Similar bike gangs from across the country are usually in attendence.

Since 1995 the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus has traveled the world, bringing its unique hybrid of vaudeville, circus, burlesque and sideshow to theaters, clubs, colleges and festivals.  The company has produced innumerable cabaret shows, all ages productions and sophisticated adult shows.

Theater Et Al, the company from which The Chocolate Factory emerged, was for many years an itinerant producing organization, renting theaters and rehearsal spaces by the hour.

Christian Sanctuary of Hope

Their story in their words:

The Sanctuary of Hope was destroyed by an electrical fire. The corner store church was left a rotten husk without heat, plumbing, or electricity. We moved in one year after the fire. We kept the sign in the front and decided to remake the church in our likeness.

Cinders Gallery

Cinders Gallery is an artist space, gallery and events space in Williamsburg. In addition to art shows, Cinders has played host to live music events, readings, slide shows, and performances. There is a store section that features drawings, paintings, prints, t-shirts, artist books, zines, and other handmade items. Cinders currently represents a slew of artists that include Kelie Bowman, Allyson Mellberg, Maya Hayuk and offers art prints by  a number of diverse artists that include Brian Chippendale, Matt Leines, Seth Scriver and many more.

Criminal Courts Building

Heralded in international guides as a "must see" tourist attraction - arraignments often feature petty criminals, drug addicts, drunks, hookers and all sorts of side-show acts that offer real-life community theater productions that are quick and to the point.

Night Court is located in the Criminal Courts Building at 100 Centre Street in Lower Manhattan. Although open day and night, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from 9 am to 1am, Night Court technically begins at 5:30pm and goes until closing.
