Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen, nicknamed "The Boss", is an American songwriter, singer and musician. He records and tours with the E Street Band. Springsteen is widely known for his brand of heartland rock infused with pop hooks, poetic lyrics, and Americana sentiments centered around his native New Jersey.

Janis Joplin

Janis Joplin was an American singer, songwriter, and music arranger, from Port Arthur, Texas. She rose to prominence in the late 1960s as the lead singer of Big Brother and the Holding Company, and later as a solo artist. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Joplin number 46 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, and number 28 on its 2008 list of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.

The Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey is a Tulsa, Oklahoma based Jazz group.

Originally an octet the group became a trio in 2000 and are known for combining elements of jazz, funk, avant-garde and rock, fusing a unique sound to their original numbers as well as their eccentric choice of cover songs.

Tortoise

Tortoise is a Chicago based post-rock band known for their instrumental genre bending music that incorporates elements of Krautrock, dub, jazz, rock and experimental.

In addition to their own recordings on the Thrill Jockey label, the band has contributed to albums by Bright Eyes and Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. In 2004 they helped curate an edition of the legendary, All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
