A luxurious hideaway for hyped up Wall Street types, or anyone else who likes to sip champagne and lean on leather headboards to unwind. It's within walking distance to South Street Seaport and many colonial attractions.

Step inside the lobby and curl up with a good book and a flute of bubbly; Gild Hall's sensuous entryway leads to a bi-level library and champagne bar. Rooms are part European elegance, part American comfort, with high, tin ceilings, glass-walled balconies, Sferra linens and Frette robes, and mini-bars stocked with Dean&Deluca treats. Hermès designed the leather headboards on the king size beds, and they don't look at all out of place in these warm-hued, minimalist surroundings. The hotel has a laid-back, jazzy vibe that invites you to hang out in the glossy lobby, or chat up your neighbor in the champagne bar.
