The first Joe's Shanghai was founded in Flushing, New York in 1995. Immediately, their special soup dumplings became a New York favorite. Over the years, they have been awarded recognition by New York Times Restaurant Guide, Gourmet Magazine, Travel and Leisure, New York Magazine and Zagat Survey. They have been featured in many gourmet magazines in Japan as well as on the Japanese Fuji TV show.
