Madussa is the Dancehall moniker for Ari Up of the English punk band The Slits.  Though widely recognized in the Dancehall scenes surrounding Kingston, Jamaica and Flatbush, Brooklyn, Madussa is lesser known in the punk and indie scenes her fans are most familiar with.  The Ari Up album, Dread More Dan Dead is the closest recording of the Madussa sound, yet was released under Ari Up to reach a wider audience.
