Side Shows By The Sea Shore is the last place in the USA where you can experience the thrill of a traditional ten-in-one circus sideshow. Established by Coney Island, USA in 1985, The Sideshow is the first professional non-profit theatre dedicated to keeping the American sideshow alive.
The sideshow seats 99 people and features both a gift shop and a freak bar housed inside a historic 1917 building decorated with canvas sideshow banners painted by Marie Roberts and Valerie Haller. The building originally housed Child's Restaurant, which employed singing waiters and during the 50's and 60's Dave Rosen's Wonderland Circus Sideshow set up shop to showcase the talents of Sealo the Seal Boy, JoJo the Dogfaced Boy, tattooed man Jack Dracula, and many others.
