Established in 1998, Tabla is a groundbreaking restaurant in the Flatiron District serving Executive Chef Floyd Cardoz's signature New Indian Cuisine. Named after a pair of Indian hand drums, Tabla offers diners Chef Cradoz's unique take on Indian food, mixing flavors and spices of India with western cooking techniques and the finest, seasonal, local ingredients. Like the Indian drums, Tabla cuisine offers a symphony of Indian flavors and spices that's sure to excite both the neophyte and the connoisseur alike.
Enjoying views of Madison Square Park and the Flatiron building, guests may choose from two different dining experiences: the balcony level Dining Room, offering refined New American cooking infused with Indian spices or the bustling street level Bread Bar, which serves home-style Indian cuisine. Designed by architects Bentel and Bentel, both spaces are beautifully decorated in warm, rich colors and original mosaics. The menu at Tabla changes daily, depending on what the chef finds while combing the greenmarket and working with local farmers.
